Case study

SPEKTON: a precision optics manufacturer’s front door to the world

SPEKTON makes the optics and metal parts inside thermal cameras, gimbals and lithography tools for defence and aerospace programmes abroad. A buyer in Munich or Paris will not fly to Ankara for a first look. They open the website. We built the one that has to carry that weight.

The challenge

Win the trust of an engineer who has never heard your name

SPEKTON’s buyers are design engineers holding a drawing and procurement teams holding a qualification checklist, almost always in another country. They decide in the first minute whether a supplier is worth a second one.

The old site said “precision” and “quality” and gave neither reader a number, a limit or a standard to check against. Enquiries meant a phone call. Certifications meant an email. And when an engineer asked an AI assistant who could make the part, SPEKTON was not in the answer.

What we built

A website that does the first sales conversation

An engineer finds the answer without phoning

Every product and material page states what SPEKTON can make: sizes, tolerances, coating bands, material properties, datasheet attached. The engineer gets a yes or no in a minute and moves to the drawing.

A drawing becomes a quotation request in one click

Every page ends with “Have a drawing for this?” Upload the file and it lands in SPEKTON’s inbox, from any country, at any hour. The form never says “sent” unless it was delivered, so no enquiry is quietly lost.

Procurement gets its checklist without asking

Certifications on every page. Equipment and limits in the first screen of every capability page. Commercial and export terms published, not sent on request. A supplier a buyer abroad can qualify from their desk.

When a buyer asks ChatGPT, SPEKTON is in the answer

Engineers increasingly ask an AI assistant who can make a part before they open a browser. SPEKTON’s pages are built so those assistants can read them and recommend the company with the facts right.

The result

A manufacturer in Ankara that reads, anywhere in the world, as a supplier you can qualify

Engineers get their answer from the page. Procurement gets its checklist from the page. Drawings arrive as quotation requests. SPEKTON’s own team keeps the catalogue current without a developer. Live at spekton.com.
